I agree that arresting the girl was extreme; a fine or making her pay for the desk would have been more appropriate. I guess she was unaware of the Zero Tolerance policy...apparently thought nothing would happen...doodled on a desk when she could've used paper....but the punishment did not fit the crime!
I think this is really excessive too! Do they think the arrest of children will can stop juvenile delinquency in the next years?
This girl will probably never trust the school and the police again, and that is the real problem.
