What's up with the Census?
many of the people i talked to didnt complete it. Why you ask? because the government required so much personal information - date of birth, full name, phone number, race/ethnicity. Then expected you to put it in the mail.
Do they not realize how easy it is for that piece of paper to be intercepted by scammers? have they not heard of a little thing called Identity Theft?
I checked on line to see if there was another way to submit it. But there wasn't. I guess it is not that important if people aren't offered more than one way to complete it.

The census is important.
I can understand why people are afraid to fill out the census and mail it back to the government. Filling in all that personal information and putting in the mail can lead to identity theft. The goverment shouldn't ask so much on the census, in order to ease people's mind. They should also already have that information on file already. But on the other hand, people's information is sent through the mail all the time, for example, on loan payments, bills, etc., and people don't seem as worried about that.
If people respond by saying, how about filling the census on-line instead, well, their information will just float around cyberspace.
If people are protesting the census just because they're worried their information will be stolen, they should have a census worker come to their house and have them fill a form out. The census is importatnt, as it's a way for the government to better fix our country.
