Is this style cool or guitarded?
Fingertapping's been around since at least the 70s, but the style still feels newfangled. In any case, some musical purists say that putting a guitar on your lap and playing it like a piano and a drum simultaneously is "against the rules" or something (as if there are any rules), and other musical minds say that this style is totally acceptable, and is pushing music in the right direction.

DAMN that's cool
I've come across a fair share of musical purists, and while many of them are talented musicians (or at least very knowledgeable about music), it's unfortunate that some of them would view this style as inauthentic. One guy I met actually thought that alternative tunings (anything other than EADGBe) were bogus, yet staying in standard has its restrictions, too, as it doesn't allow you to do stuff like this. Nice work!
