Sarah Palin & the Tea Party Movement
I have not paid much attention the the Tea Party Movement, but I did catch a bit of Palin's speech at one of the tea party rallies yesterday & found it disturbing.
Palin talks in generalities, bringing up a lot of references to our 'creator' and sounding very muchlike someone who belongs on the 700 club, rather than in a political forum.
More disturbing was the love the audience seemed to have for her very basic statements like "We win, you lose".
Before this speech, I had no feelings toward Palin one way or the other, but now I view her as a quitter who is trying to make some extra cash on the speech circuit; someone who doesn't have the guts to speak in an intelligent manner to the public, instead trying to make everything that goes on in America so seemingly black & white.
I am not a follower of either party, and I thought the tea party was really a bunch of independents-what I see now is a bunch of right wing conservatives.
I am suspicious of all government leaders, as I feel that all of them think they are rock stars. I'd like to see just once, someone step into the limelight who has a mind of their own, not a mind chosen by the politoical party they represent. I feel that the Dems are screwing themselves through indecision & egomania. The Repulicans had 8 years to push through change & just sat back and let the country crumble.
If things don't start to change soon, I'd like to see a 3rd party emerge snuffing out both of these clown parties.
And NO, Palin, the hope and change hasn't yet worked for many of us, but NEITHER ARE YOU! You are nothing but a quitter that couldn't solve America's problems either!
Did anyone else see Palin & what do you think?
