• Q: What is canisaysomething?
  • A: Canisaysomething.com is a free speech website that allows you to express your thoughts and opinions. This is your place to say anything about everything. We want to hear what you have to say on all subject matter, anything from technology to the president!
• Q: Why become a member?
  • A: It is completely free to join canisaysomething.com. By joining canisaysomething.com, you have an outlet to speak freely on any issue. You can voice your opinion as well as learn what others think when it comes to social issues, education, business and just about anything.
• Q: What is a profile?
  • A: A profile allows you to share information about yourself. On the info tab, click the edit profile link in your profile. This allows you to share as much (or as little!) as you want. In addition, you can keep track of all your bloids and surveys in one place!
• Q. What is a backer?
  • A: A backer is someone who “backs you up.” Every time you write and post a bloid, your subscribed “backer” will be notified. This allows you to stay in touch, stay current and keep the discussion going.
• Q: Why become someone's backer?
  • A: Love them or hate them… if you feel this way towards any free speaker then you might want to back them. When you back someone up you will be notified whenever they post or comment. Be the first to read and react to what is written. If you want to set the record straight or you are just interested in what another member says, then become their backer.
• Q: How do I become a backer?
  • A: Becoming a backer is simple. On any discussion page, you can become a backer by clicking on the "back this user" icon under the speaker’s username. You will immediately become their backer and be notified each time that speaker posts. You can also visit someone’s profile page and click on “become a backer.”
• Q: What is a "bloid"?
  • A: Bloids are your thoughts and comments. Whether you start a new topic, comment on someone else’s or write in your profile… you are creating a bloid. We could not find a word that could accurately express your thoughts, so we made up our own!
• Q: How do I delete my profile?
  • A: To delete your profile go to your profile page and then the account tab. Under account information click on “delete my profile”.
• Q: How do I change my email address?
  • A: To change your email address go to your profile page and under account settings change your email address and hit save on the bottom of the page. Will the user receive an authentification email at the new email address?? Or is there any authentification process at all?
• Q: How do I upload pictures? What are the picture requirements?
  • A: You can upload pictures by going to “my account” and the “profile” tab. Under the profile tab you can click “edit profile” and you will be able to add, change or remove your picture, as well as your edit other information. You can also go to “my account” tab and upload a picture from there. Your picture will be resized to fit in the specified space. It must be in jpg, .gif, .bmp, or .png format.
• Q: How do I upload pictures from my cell or smartphone?
  • A: Go to www.canisaysomething.com/mobile
• Q: How do I send a message? Are messages viewable by all members?
  • A: To send messages to a specific member, go to their bloid and rollover the arrow near the username and click on “send message.” You can also send messages to other members by going to their profile and clicking on “send message.” You can access messages by going to “my account” tab and then “my messages.”
• Q: How can you hide personal information?
  • A:You can go into your profile page and click on edit near the personal information. You can then click on an open or closed eye. If you don’t want information on your profile shared or searchable then click on the closed eye and save.
• Q: What happens to your account information?
  • A: Your personally identifiable information such as name and email address will not be released to third parties without your consent. Demographics and location may be used to enhance the site but never to contact you.
• Q: Who sees your bloids?
  • A:Anyone with a computer! This is a free speech site and we want everyone and anyone to be able to read and comment on to your posts. If you don’t want this information related to you or your profile then we do provide the option to post anonymously and the bloid will not be associated with you or your profile. We are here to give you a place to speak openly about anything, and want to make this convenient as possible.
• Q: What is RSS Feed?
  • A: RSS stands for real simple syndication. It is used to publish recent works (articles, blogs, news headlines) in a standard format. To keep you up-to-date and current with the latest topics, canisaysomething.com has RSS feeds on every category page as well as on the main page so you stay current.
• Q: What happens with survey answers?
  • A:All survey answers will be archived in our database. The surveys are given by users to users. On occasion canisaysomething.com will administer surveys to get feedback on the site or other opinions. This information will be analyzed to optimize the site. You can also expect there to be some surveys from companies asking your opinion on products or services, when you participate in these surveys none of your personally identifiable information will be made available to the third party.
• Q: Can I post copyrighted information?
  • A:As specified in the terms and conditions, you may only post original information and content. Any copyrighted information will be removed from canisaysomething.com immediately.
• Q. How do I report copyrighted information?
  • A: Here at canisaysomething.com we do our best to keep our site original and free of copyrighted information. Should you come across such content please email legal@canisaysomething.com with a link to the copyrighted material. It will be removed from the site immediately.
• Q: How can I advertise on CISS?
  • A: Go to www.canisaysomething.com/advertise for details on how you can reach your target market. You can also email advertise@canisaysomething.com.
• Q: Why do you record IP addresses?
  • A: We record IP addresses in case any malicious content is posted. To protect yourself and others on the site, we record IP addresses as a precaution. We also record IP addresses so we know where our visitors and site members are coming from.
• Q: Can I delete a Bloid or comment I made?
  • A: After you make a posting there will be an option to delete your posting. Just go to the bloid and click delete!
