Do You Go to the Movies Alone?

A few of my friends have mentioned that sometimes they go to the movies by themselves. I prefer to be with people, even though I know we won't be socializing or anything. I guess I just liek the idea of having someone to talk to about it afterwards.
What are your thoughts? Do you ever go to the movies by yourself? What about other social events?

Never Have, But I Might

I've never actually gone to the movies alone, but I always thought it'd be kind of cool for some reason.

I think it's really interesting to see what can be understood about a person regarding the movies they're watching and who they're watching them with. If I were watching a romantic comedy with a girl my age, people might assume that I was dragged to the movies by her. But if I were stiting alone, someone might assume that the girl who dragged me is in the bathroom. If enough time goes by, however, that person's opinion could change to "Holy crap. This guy likes rom coms and isn't afraid to admit it!"

So the point is that it's amusing that it takes people security to go to the movies alone.

Heck Yes!!!

Omg its called Sunday!! Every Sunday I go to the movies and stay all day and watch all the movies I want. Its so relaxing and peaceful...Its really a me myself and I moment!! People think its weird but if you think about it you dont really talk at the movies so you just do your thing. sometimes i wanna see a movie so bad that i dont want to coordinate who can go, who wants to see the movie, which movie theater, what time works for everyone, that i just end up going by myself and i love it and look forward to it every sunday!!

I like going to movies with friends to talk about them afterward as well. However, there are times when I really want to see a film that's playing and there's no one around who is interested and yes - I've gone alone.

The last time I went alone I REALLY went alone. That is to say, I was the ONLY person in the theater!
