APPLE DOES KIDS

Apple store has come under fire for using child labor in some of their factories to make their iPhones and iPods. Apple has factories in the United States, Singapore, Thailand, the Czech Republic, the Philippines, Malaysia and Taiwan with majority of its goods assembling in China.
Apple Company was shocked that in some of their factories child labor was being used. Are you kidding me? I have no doubt in my mind that they knew. It’s called cheap labor, most companies do it, however no one wants to get caught.
At least eleven 15 year old children were discovered to be working last year at three apple factories. However, Apple stated that child labor is no longer being used, and if you believe that then I have an island to sell you. This is not Apple’s first criticism, it has been criticized for using factories that abuse workers and were conditions are poor.
The crazy thing is that as consumers we will be outraged, and appalled while still listening to Gaga’s Bad Romance. Should Apple be punished? Will Apple be punished? Is child labor a necessity in some countries were $120 a year is a lot?

I am shocked

I thought that Apple was one of those companies that did really well when it came to outsourcing and treating thier employees really good. I guess not which is a shame. If parents can't afford to have children in these poor countries then they shouldnt have children. I feel so bad for these kids. To work so hard and only get 120 dollars a year. How do they even survive?

Thats the thing most of them do not survive that is why so many of the older sibli9ngs (12+) need to work in order to help with the family bills. In many of these countries people do not have birth control pills, for this reason and others they keep procreating. Cheap labor is what it is cheap, and more businesses are practicing this type of thing.
